Soil Samples to fix a lawn problem ----
Are there kits? If so Where do I get them?

What other quick way can I get a sample so I can properly treat lawn?

Thank You,
Bill

Go to your local county extension and pick a soil sample kit. http://njaes.rutgers.edu/county/
I had to pay $15 for the kit and $4 to mail it out. They give you easy to follow instructions and no special tools are required. I believe your local lesco dealer can do it too.

Go with Mr C on this one. The test kits you buy at Depot or the local garden center are not very accurate and they only test minimal minerals & nutrients as well as PH test that maybe close, or may not. Read the Rutgers information thoroughly so that you will understand all that a labs soil test report means and how it will help you grow better plants and turf.
