07GMC and Breakaway recharge issue?

I have purchased a 07 GMC Duramax supposedly with the towing package. The trailer lights, brakes and all work just fine, but the charging on the trailer breakaway battery is not hot.

We cannot find any missing fuses or relays under the hood.

Anyone experience this? Any ideas to remedy this issue?

I believe there is a dummy fuse in you fuse block under the hood.

Look under the hood, there is a red 'dummy' fuse in the upper left corner of the fuse block. Pull that out, replace with the proper fuse. I had to do that on my '04 2500HD.
