I put a set of double blades on a 21"!!!!!!
It works really really good, it chopped the grass into literaly powder, sure does sound like a helicopter though!,
The engine handles 2 blades surprisingly well, but i did notice it was a little harder to start.
Can't wait until leaves are out in full force to try it out!

Thanks:)

Me too.

I just put a set on my 36" WB. It mows a lot better now, and it'll really blow a walk clean!

Thanks Eric.

Vipermanz,
Better than a single gator on the LB?
LB has a special smaller blade avail. for the top blade for mulching. Was going to try that.

Vipermanz,

How did you do it? Did you stack the OEM blades? THey have the sides of the center bent down 1/4". How can this even work? Plus, LB's dont cut high enough to begin with (top out @ 3") minus the extra blade, would be cutting WAY too low for me. I just want a blade that has MORE lift than the OEM blades.

Please clarify this for me, as I dont see how its safely possible.

it's not on the lb yet, i tested the principle out on my backup mower, yes they were stacked

WTF!?!

You just said that it was a LB? RIght? Now its some other "back-up" mower. With the LB's blade adapter and Odd shaped blade, you would have to find a universal flat blade to stack doubles on a LB.

So what's the back-up? Factory blades for what brand?
