Here are some pics of my "shop" It's an old pig barn approx 50x100. It's summer now so most of my equipment is outside. Spare stuff in still in the barn.

I'll make a new thread for pics of our other equipment. Steiners, Walker, Bobcats, John Deere and of course more.
My wife says I have too much equipment. I tell her it's all for her. She runs it I just keep it running.

Messy or not- I'm jealous!! I wish I had an area like that. What kind o bike is under the cover?

I do most of my work in our house garage. It's 24x24. Mig, benches, toolboxes and all electric and air tools. I won't take pictures of it for awhile. It's full too.

Tadams, it's a 1100 V Star Yamaha. I buy pretty much everything from auctions. I likely do 50 or so a year.

do you just have 2 sleds. the one looks sweet
cantoo
04-22-2007, 12:17 AM
Yeah, we have two. The one under the cover is my 95 STX long track. The other is my son's 440 rev whatever you call it. It has 600 HO plastic and stickers but is a full 440 race sled. I've driven it once and never again.
That sure is a messy shop, where's your real equipment?

Diesel flatbed, former ambulance only for back up to the cube van or truck. The orange cube van in the ackground is used for steel storage. It still runs but not needed.

3 point hitch Aeravator it doesn't work as good as I would like but I haven't had time to modify it yet. Maybe next year.

3 point hitch aerator. I also have a 3' tow behind model.
cantoo
04-22-2007, 08:57 PM
Just bought a couple more 3 point hitch aerators. They sell good.
That's enough for awhile. I still have a bunch of attachments I have made. I have around 15 trailers to haul stuff with. I have freinds who like to borrow stuff so I make sure I have enough for everyone.

That is some really cool stuff. You sure do have a lot of it! Old barns are hard to keep clean. Do you have any lights in the barn? I didn't notice any. That would put a damper on my machine work. I do all my work on my machines at night.

That steiner is a beast! Did you buy that from Mad Max? How cool it would be to pull it around town with this:

I'm definitely jealous of all the land ya got there!

Deere, I have lights in the barn and plugs every 10 feet to run tickle chargers in the winter. I don't do any work in the barn it is for storage only. I have a 24x24 garage for a work shop. Just got done installing a chain hoist to lift equipment to work on. Makes it easy to change and sharpen blades on the Bobcats. I also have huge shops at my day job that I use for big projects.
ribbie78, that Steiner is original. I also have duals for it, then it looks wild. It will pretty much go anywhere you have the nerve to steer it. I use it in the bush to push out small stumps. I have 4 front blades for it, aerators, seeders, soil levellers, turbine blower, front mount sprayer, front mount fertilizer spreader, forklift attachment, leaf plow, trailer mover, small boom lift, stone fork, and more things to build yet.

It's just a damn shame you don't have much equipment. Do you have any old dry rotted tires for sale? jk..............awesome piece of land
cantoo
04-23-2007, 09:05 PM
Dean of green, actually I do sell the old tires. I sell them at auctions for a dollar or two a piece if I take them to the dump they charge me $5 a piece for them.
mdvaden, if I organized my stuff I would need a roof over the whole 10 acres to set it all up. Every once in awhile my wife gets real mad and takes a couple of loads to the auction place. The next sale is May 22 I'm putting locks on the barn. I had to go away last saturday and she took a load to the dump. That's grounds for divorce right there.

Since those pictures I've been to a few auctions and I have bought, shingle loader for roofing shingles, two dethatchers, WBH grass catchers (I don't have a WBH), 1996 VW Golf, 2006 4 wheeler, lawnboy lawn mower, 2 Sthil string trimmers ( I already have 4 that I don't use) and a bunch of small items.
My wife took 3 loads of scrap steel away while I was at work. One load on my poor truck weighed just under 3 tonnes. She also took a load of stuff out of my barn to a local auction place and sold it without telling me. The good news is I have so much stuff I'm not sure what all's missing yet.
I did sell one 4 wheeler though so it's time to buy some more stuff. I had the final bid on a repossessed 1500 Suzuki Intruder but the bank turned my offer down, it'll be at the next sale in three weeks so we'll see then. The last one I bought I had the final bid at three sales before they finally sold it to me.
