Hey all, just had to share my excitement. I just bought my first "new" truck. Well, not totally new. It's 3 years old but it's the new body style and by far the newest truck I've ever owned. It's so nice to drive something that's do modern! I'm addicted already!

(Of course my 3 crews still drive the old trucks and that's how it's gonna stay :-)

Good looking truck, Jim. We used Dodges on the farm while I was growing up. They took a beating and kept on going. Brothers are still running a Dodge with the Cummins. Good luck.

Congrats on yur new toy.

Only one truck built to better that one, the Dodge with a Cummins turbo diesel, a bit more expensive though.

Of course, if I couldn't get a Cummins, my second choice would be a mid 90s Ford w/ powerstroke diesel.

Well, I didn't look into getting a more heavy duty truck because it's not really for work. All I really ever do is drive around and give estimates, check up on my workers and sometimes haul some equipment or fertilizer to one of our crews.

It's was really more of an alternative to an SUV. Our family is growing and we needed something to take camping and on short trips. The wife's car is fine but it doesn't fit tents, chairs, etc. very well. So it was either sell her car and get an SUV or sell my truck and get a truck with an extended cab. Guess who won?

Nice ride!!!!!A truck is a truck no matter what brand.Let me clarify...full size truck. Have fun with it.The one thing i do like about dodge is the work console in the middle front seat.:p

Jim, why didn't you buy a 70's Camaro to haul your stuff around like in the good ol days? Still crack up at that old post you made. You must have persistence because most guys around here with the ghetto setups last 2 months max.

Nice truck but I would hate to work with that truck and hit it with a rock off a peice of equipment . Or put a dent or scarach on it. Shore is a nice truck.

Barkley,

It's funny to hear that someone actually remembers that story. I would give anything to get my hands on a picture of that first setup I had. People were in hysterics at every stop light.
