I've recently started a landscape biz. I'm curious to know how many (average) properties most guys do in an 8 hour day. I'm talking about residential lawn service of course. I know there are many variables but a ballpark or benchmark is what I'm after really. Thank you for your time!

depends on your equipment and how detail orriented you are. A one man show should be pulling in no less than $400 per day with proper equipment and a full route with RESIDENTIAL customers. $4oo is at min. You hustle hard you can hit 500 per day.

I can mow about 10 properties in 8 hours and make $300+ working by myself. That includes breaks, travel, etc. I use a 34" Walkbehind, Kawasaki trimmer, and a cheap craftsman blower... although I really should replace the blower. Most of the yards are between 1/6 and 1/4 of an acre, house included.

I'm sure with better equipment you can make that same money quite a bit faster, but most of my yards have 36" gates so i'll stick with the 34" walkbehind.

I do about 14 on Monday 10 on tuesday....those are my average sized lawns, on Wednesday I do an apartment complex, and Thursday I do another complex and a strip mall......Friday I do 10 average to large yards. I do it by myself, and if it rains I have a friend of mine who works to help me catch up. I run a 52" toro Z a 48" Bobcat and a 36" Bobcat.......
