I have a 2007 f150 and I want to put sides on the bed and I am wondering how to do that.

Not to be rude, but I thought it was mostly common since once you look at it. Put 2x4 or 1x3's in the stake pockets 2 ft high and add two 12x2x8ft boards on each side and you have just doubled your capicty. Takes no more than 15 minutes to fabricate and install.

I just did this to my F-350. The stake pockets on the F-350 (probably the same on the 150) are approx 7" deep and are 1 1/2 x 2 1/2 (I think). I cut treated 2 x 4's down so they fit tight in the pockets then screwed 2 - 5/4x6 to them. This gave me 11" more heighth. I basically did this for mulch hauling and with it I was able to squeeze in 4 yards of mulch.

naw your not being rude and that is what I thought I just wanted to make sure. Plus I don't have a nice dump insert like you do.

Well, all I did for mine was two treated 2x4x8 and cut them to 23 inches long each, 6 in all. Then cut a notch, kinda L shaped, so they go about 6 inches down into the stake pockets. Then took six 2x6x8 treated and screwed them to the posts sticking up. Gave me about 17 inches of height overall. Then I also put a 2x6 running across the front of the bed, near the cab, for support so they arent wobbling around. Total from Lowe's was about 55 bucks with screws. Very easy job and gives you more capacity!!
