A newbie here. Found this site after searching Yahoo for some answers on indexing the the timing belt on my Honda 5.5HP mower. I had to replace the crank so now I'm trying to find out how to align the crank and cam. I aware of the cam marks and how to align them but what do I use to align the crank? I noticed there is a arrow on the journal but what does it line up to? Anybody? Thanks for any help. Cheers.

I dont remember off hand, but I do remember it being very easy to do(at least on the horizontal shaft models). I will check in the morning for you if no one replies over night.

What a coincidence!
Another guy from Kentucky had the identical problem that was solved elsewhere!
