core aerating or aerovating

I'm in kansas and a lot of properties have clay liek soils and when we have these hard hot summers the soil turn to rock and the lawns thin really bad. I think a heavy duty roler core aerator would take care of things. I am more concerned with getting the hardend clay loose in the fall so water can penatrate deep into the soil. I thought I could do thid in fall and in early spring.
I also thought about an aerovator. It looks like it would be great for overseeding in the spring. I'm not so sure about in the fall. Let me know what you guys would do and some products you have used and maybe some prices. Thanks

The Aera-vator is ideal for fall overseeding. If you have hard dry clay soil you will not find a better machine. If you search areavator or aeravation you will find a lot of info.

There is a big difference between a core and aeravator. Both have their place. There is no doubt the aeravator would make an unbelievable seedbed. I hope to get one for my tractor one day.
