Striping

From reading a few post it seems that Southern Grasses dont like to be striped or just dont do that well is this true.....

I'm about to go purchase the striper kit. But dont want to waste money

I live in South Louisiana. Have St. Augustine and Bayhayia ( Pasture Grass ) I built a Striper b/c my 60" Ultracut looked like it was trying to strip on its own. It really hasn't made a difference in my grass. I read that you can train your grass, but I am not sure what that means ( cut in the same direction each time ??? ) I am leaving it on for this season to see if it makes any change. Good luck !!
