Starting a lawn business

Hey guys I am a very motivated person, but the last time i passed out flyer trying to get business i only got one response. what do i do. Should i go door to door? also what equipment do i need. I have a lawn mower but it is in bad shape and i just dont want to go buy somthing that is going to break down. please help me get my foot in the door.

well, first how many accounts do you have?. What size are they? That will dictate what type and size of mowers you need. Since you are just starting out, keep your expenses as low as possible. If you only have a couple of yards to start, i would buy a regular residential mower, which should last you a couple of seasons, a good line trimmer, blower will round out the basics.
