There are alot of new condos and associations being
built with nice grass and I was looking for somebody
who new and good way to approach new commercial,
townhouse accounts or find the contact person to put
in a a bid,
also do you guys advertise and wait for the phone
to ring, live off refferal, or go out and
cold call or ask if you can out in a bid

Always, always, always take the initiative in creating new business. I track down the person who is responsible and ask them if they would 'consider a bid from my company on taking care of the lawn maintenance?'. Any resonable person would say 'yes'. Then I begin the questions to find out areas they are not completely happy with. The following statement is workingwonders for me- "The last thing I want to do is disrupt somebody's job, but if I could do a better job at acting on your concerns I'd like the opportunity to earn your business".
