It is looking like gas will go to $4 a gallon here in the next month. I have been running 4 and 6 cylinders trucks for years now and charge in the same ballpark as my competitors. They have to be using 10-40% more gas than I am on average. I sometimes think maybe I am looking at it wrong and should just run big rigs and pass the cost on, but then I think about the competitive pricing and would raise my prices. Europe does it with 4 and 6 cylinder trucks with engines that are even more efficient than ours with $6+ a gallon gasoline. They seem to get around just fine doing what we do without the big engines. Anyone going to do a fuel surcharge, raise prices and pass the cost on permanently or run smaller rigs if prices get like Europe?

I planned for increase in fuel price. Worked into the price and budget. Will be see $4.00 a gallon. They were talking about that last year and it didn't happen. Maybe it will. However when the price goes up seems everyone cries that sky is falling.

i would NEVER go to anything smaller than a V8 because i doubt a 4 banger could pull a 24 foot enclosed trailer that i pull.

If gas is going to go up to 4 bucks i'm going to buy some selective oil stocks. No brainer.

so far diesel has only went up about ten cents. Finally it is cheaper than gas again! Im sure diesel will rise soon as well but oh well. Im going to start running my truck on WVO hopefully this summer.

It won't happen. People still have to get to work, shop, and have fun once in a while. Driving habits might change, they might car pool more but they will not sit at home.

On May 15th it supposed to be a national thing where no one buys gas for the day. I got an email on it. Maybe it might make them come back down like when they did it in the past.

Look at snopes!

come on, think about it. In order to not use and buy gas you best be walking to taking a bike. Meaning habits will have to change.
