View Full Version : JD F525 gets hot & PTO shuts off

It is losing juice to either automatic clutch or the clutch is trying to go out??
I can smell something slightly burning. It will run for a few minutes and mow and then it quits mowing. The engine still runs. I replaced the brake and clutch and pto switches. Any suggestions? Thanks

The diagram is exactly like mine. I am amazed at your realm of information!
I will try to find a mechanic to borrow a feeler gage, or can those be bought
an automotive supply? Thanks again for your help. I priced a new clutch yesterday and that was my next replacement option.
