Browsed here a lot lately getting this company open.

We just opened up last month, but advertising just started.
The trailer is going to be wrapped. Graphics are being made now.

This site gave me lots of good info! Thanks!

Very nice/professional looking. I like that Dodge, what kind of rack is on it? We just put a rack on one of our new trucks, it took me forever to choose a manufacturer.

you bought all that before gaining clients?

Thanks Tony.

It is the forklift design and we had them add the expanded metal then powder coat. We thought it came out good.

Yes.

Over a year of planning.
Cashed out savings, paid cash for most (took advantage of 6 months no payments or interest from Scag) wrote up a business plan and researched on here and other forums. I managed a large west coast OPE dealer for the last few years and it all came together.

We got our first service account last friday. It is a $9k residential service with some renovations. It is the type of client we specially wanted and in the area we wanted to be in.

thats cool i was just wondering. alot of people buy all new equipment then never gain enough business but you seem to have planned it all out really well

We will see!

Every business venture is a risk. A plan is only half the battle.

We just got the interior of the trailer painted and racks installed.
Went with Rack 'em Racks. Installation went ok. It was tedious to hit the metal framework with self tapping screws, but it all worked.

We also installed e-tracks for tie down points for larger equipment that runs the length of the trailer on both sides.

Still lots of room for the renovator, plants or other tools.

Digital images going to the printer tomorrow, but it will be a week or two before they go on.

Don't listen to the negativity you may find regarding ambitions. If you have the motivation, drive, and vision you will succeed. Looks good, brother!

Thanks for all the kind comments.
Trailer should get wrapped this tues. or wed. so I will get some pics when they are done.

We have 3 maintenance accounts now, one is a commercial account along with quite a few larger landscape installation bids we are working on.
We also have a few overseed/de-thatch jobs scheduled for this month, so things have been busy these last few weeks.

Best wishes to all!

The grass is a digital image that we used on our web site header, and biz cards. It really "pops" more in person. The details seem to go away with a digital image of a digital image! :)

How do you like the snapper 21"?

Good machine, but I don't use it much.

I bought it over the Honda based on getting it at cost. Couldn't turn down a deal like that for a mower I didn't see using too much.

Great looking set-up!! Very professional. Have you thought about putting the grass on the lower part of your truck to match the trailer?

Briefly when we were designing it, but I thought it looked too busy, plus we were concerned with it holding up with rocks, salts, road grime etc.

you thought more about than I did, I wasn't thinking about the rocks and salt

Hey,

It was on the list of many when we were picking.
One of the few names not used in any directory, dba or phonebook in this area, so it stuck.
