For those of you who do not have a Classen dealer near by Lesco now has the split drive aerator in Lesco green. Great machine if any are interested.

I looked at one of these the other day. It is a monster but it is nice.

I checked out the classen 40 inch tow behind at lesco.... pretty impressed by construction.... price tag was a little steep for such a simple machine with no engine! ABout 1600 bucks!

Evan, you must of gotten a price on the 60, the 48 is about $1250.
It is well worth it too. I have put up to 450 lbs. on it to penetrate hard dry clay and it will do it. It also has a split axle so it turns fairly sharp without tearing up the turf.
If anyone gets one of these, let me know. I can explain how to use the transport wheels as guage wheels so it only goes in so deap in areas where you have underground items to watch out for. Pictures included. ;)

Funny this post came up as I was looking at the same thing at Lesco on Saturday. Anyone ever use one? I think they were asking around 3300 or so. It looks massive and was wondering how easy it was to maneuver with the split drive. The spec sheet says it'll do up to 3/4 and acre/hour. Any truth to this statement? I have a few lawns upward of 1.5 acres which this could really be used on.

ant: Was that for the split-drive? And was it "Lesco brand" or Classen? Don't think Lesco had their name on it (split-drive) last year.
