I have a customer with a Rainbird 12 station timer ( not digital). The day part of the timer keeps getting stuck on midnight and doesn't change to the next day. What could the problem be?
Thanks./:confused:

Sounds like the clock may be bad. I think these are fairly serviceable and you should be able to get it from an irrigation supply house. If you can't get a more accurate answer, I will check with my guy next week. Do you have a model # for it?

I believe the # is RC-7i

The time wheel is driven by a "timing motor". The same motor also drives the day wheel. What is the day wheel doing?

I've only seen them die and both quit at the same time as they run from the same motor. The motor is easy to replace if it is the problem.

Let me know.

These are a mechanical clock, more than likely the clock has some teeth missing on a gear inside. These are repairable but the new clocks when used properly are sure nice. Try unscrewing the front and look on the back of the panel that comes off. There are a bunch of gears there, one is missing teeth. You will need to take the clock to a Rain Bird guy to get fixed. Good luck

Thanks for the help, I checked again and the hr. wheel is running slow but was on the right day, this should probably be the clock motor.
