Hey everyone..
First I want to thank everyone who ordered the direct mail letter templates. Don't forget, if you ordered early and received the letters on paper, you can e-mail me at lawncaresuccess@aol.com with your name, address, and order number and I can either send you a copy in the mail on disk or e-mail them directly to you.
Second, the contract templates should be finished this week, I hope. I'm still waiting on 2 attorneys who have been assisting me in this process. The contract templates will be set up as an agreement/proposal which will make it easier on you and the client. We have contract example for residential and commercial maintenance, installation, weed control & fert, and snow removal. They are very good and will be very helpful.
If anyone has any suggestions for other needed contract examples, post it here so I can get it where it needs to go. I know we talked about tree trimming and removal, but I didn't know if that would be of interest. Let me know.
Thanks again everyone.

equipment rental agreements and contract for subcontractors.
Thought those would be helpful.

I will make sure those are added to the list Guido. As far as an equipment rental agreement I'm not quite sure which angle you are reffering to. The contracts will probably have different examples for each type is how it is shaping up...such as one with deposit up front, money due upon completion and other angles such as that. I want these to be as thorough as possible, but with the understanding that these are templates and anyone using them will have the ability to change or add whatever is necessary. Thanks for the ideas.

I know some people who buy specialized equipment (i.e. hydroseeders, large chippers, bark blowers, skid steers, etc) even though they can't justify full time work for them. When they are not schedueled for use, they may rent them out to other LCO's (hopefully after some screening).
I hope you have a better picture of what I meant now.

That agreement example is no problem. I will be inserting this today and then hopefully everything will be wrapped up. Thanks again Guido.

Does anyone feel the need for a tree removal or trimming contract? I'm curious if it should even be included? What do you think? It can be without a problem. Let me know.

Good point crazygator. I'm sure it can't hurt. I am being honest when I say I am trying to get these finished and available as fast as possible. Waiting on others can be a nuisance...but as business owners, I'm sure everyone here knows how that is.

Island...
Everything is pretty much put together and I could probably make them avaialble as is...However, it is important considering what these are that the attorneys involved make sure everything is as needs to be. I apologize for dragging this out, but I too am waiting on someone. I am shooting for them to be available late this week or early next week. I promise as soon as they are ready I will post and inform Chuck as well.
Lee...
Are you referring to a letter or a contract?

Of course I was hoping to have them finished and ready to be sold by now, but that hasn't been the case. I definitely apologize for that. The attorneys who are finalizing everything gave me the date of Monday, September 10th, but I am going to try and push for them to be ready for next week. I'm not a big fan of waiting, and I assume neither are you guys. I appreciate everyone's patience. It is top priority.

What ever happened to this...it died out pretty fast......
Is it still going to happen?
With a date of Sep 10, we may know why things didn't get finished on time...

I know the events of the 11th held things up a bit, and believe me if anyone understands on here its me, so don't call me insensitive! ;)
But if they were to be ready by the 10th why would something that happened on the 11th hold them up?
Maybe there is a reason for the holdup though, we'll see what Sean says.

The tragedy of 9/11/01 did not have an effect on the completion of the contract templates. The attorney(s) that were working on them with me from the start - well let's just say I won't be working with them anymore. I stressed over and over again the need for these to be complete, but they just kept putting me off and putting me off. In the meantime, I discussed things with Chuck and a few LawnSite members. There is going to be something out around Christmas or so that is going to contain a lot more than just the contract templates. It is going to be very detailed and very informative - marketing, advertising, estimating, employees, client relations - everything you can think of. I have been working with a friend of mine now for about 3 weeks who is an attorney (who I should have just started with from the beginning) as well as several others in the industry, and what is being put together should be pretty spectacular. I know there is a lot of information for sale out there, but usually only covering one specific topic and usually it is far too pricy for the information inside. This is going to be simple, easy to read, easy to apply, and affordable. More details coming soon. But I must say that I am sorry. I know several members were looking forward to the contracts. Nothing upsets me more when I can't deliver. I apologize for the delay and you can be certain that this information will be worth the wait.

Thanks.... I knew there had to be a better explanation than 9/11! ;)
So if I understand correctly the contracts will be included with this? Hopefull in an electronic format also? :)

There will be contract templates included more than likely. This is going to be a lot of information, but I'm sure we can still make it so that it is offered electronically.

I think thats a key marketing tools these days, so I hope you go with an electronic version. It will benefit both the buyers and yourself.

Sean,
Will there be any contracts covering the installation of landscaping and maintenance or can the others be used and transformed to cover this subject? Also will they cover such items as watering, guarantee, etc.?
Just a late thought on my part.

I apologize for everyone who has posted for not getting back sooner. I did not receive an e-mail indicating that people had responded until today. Currently we offer the 20 direct mail letter templates here at LawnSite (in the LawnSite store). The new information we are working on is an affordable wealth of information - marketing, advertising, estimating, management, employees...the whole nine yards. The goal is to have it available before Christmas. Myself and Chuck will keep everyone updated on the progress. In the meantime, if anyone has any specific questions, they can post here or e-mail me directly at LawnCareSuccess@aol.com. Thanks everybody.
