Kolher 20HP Command ?

Question about a update kit for my 20 Kolher Command valve covers? Guy I bought it from said there was a update kit for the valve covers, a redesign to stop them from leaking oil. Do any of you know anything about this kit? If so do you know how much it is and would it be worth replacing them as it only has 800hr's on her and I plan on running this Walker for as many years as she will give me. Thanks for your input.

Are your's leaking? If it is leaking, check to see if the bolts are snugged up. I have not had a valve cover leak on my 22 hp Kohler and it has 4.5 times as many hours as yours.

Yes, I have snuged up the covers and they still seem to leak. That's why I asked about the update kit from Kolher Engines.

The valve cover upgrade happened about 6-7ars ago. If your valve cover has o-rings for a gasket it is the new version. If it had silicone or a paper gasket they are old style. If old style I would upgrade. If they are new style put in new o-rings.
