After almost 5 weeks of no appreciable rain it started to rain on Saturday. Forecasters are calling for rain today and again on Monday. My properties sure do need the rain and I would like the income. Thanks to the powers that be!

With little rainfall in the last few years, we started getting pretty regular rains in June. It really has helped.

Has much of Virginia been really dry? In route to Pennsylvania last weekend, we hit some really heavy rain between Harrisonburg and Winchester.

David,

Yesturday I'm watching the news and seeing rain in southern Maryland and nothing here in Carroll county. It FINALLY started coming down about 5:30 - 6:00. It was a slow steady drizzle that lasted a couple of hours... Thank God!

It just started raining again today 10 minutes ago... Looks like we're back in business!

We have had 3 days straight with rain/showers. It has been great! Dont have to drag the sprinkler around for a while now, hehe. Grass will grow, so I better get up and work, now!

We have had the rain this year. 13 days in July and every day last week. Last year was drought city and this year has been so wet you can't keep up with your work load.

Keep the faith, the rain will return. It only took 3 years for it to come back to us.

We were dry here the last couple of years. But this year I have needed to fire up the boat to go cutting. We have been consistently getting rain all year. Everyday last week we had some. For the last few months my scheduling has been messed up every week due to rain. I should have a much better year $$wise this year. :blob1:

We have only had 1/2" so far in August. But it is raining off and on today. I was beginning to get worried that the drought was back

We had about 7 weeks with no rain-then it came.
ALL AT ONCE!!! We had 4" in one hr. then 2 more the next day!
The lawns look real bad. Any grass that was growing was matted down badly. Nice to get caught up with rain defecits, but man, not all at once!:alien:

We are back to praying for rain here. We've had rain twice in longer than I can remember. It's been enough to keep us going, but now we could really need it. The lawns that are irrigated are even dry now. Last week we were in the high nineties all week. You guys with rain are lucky. I'm half of where I should have been last month in receipts and will be the same this month.
