I was just wondering what everybody does for lunch around here. I am still a kid I suppose. Make my sandwich's, get my chips, load up 2 apples and a can of peaches or so into the old trusty batman lunch box and head out. Do you take your lunchs or eat out and where? Just wondering, and thought it could be interesting to find out.

For years I would not even eat a lunch (or breakfast for that matter) because either it would make me feel sick or bloated and tired... Don't ask me how I did it... Not recommended!
Now... I usually have some sort of coffee cake for the morning, two cans of coke and a sandwich for lunch... until dinner.

We eat lunch at nicer places than fast food joints. About my limit for fast food is a Sub from a deli. I don't like fast food and try not to eat it if possible.

We fuel up and go out for breakfast and then hit it til we are done and then come home to dinner. Works for us.
We used to go work for about 2 hours and then go eat, but in hot weather, we didn't feel like eating once we got hot.

i keep my stuff at a deli now. so when i need lunch and i am in the area i just go there and get whatever- usually i dont have to pay for it. i also do some work for a guy who owns a pizza place. so other times we eat pizza for free. and when we are not in the area we find a local deli. i dont eat breakfast. and lunch isnt until anywhere from 1 - 2 or 3 oclock. come home and eat dinner at 7 or so. start snackin from then until about 12 am

We usually just grab something from a fast food joint. We usually don't have much time to eat. Always busy!!!! :blob2:

Our guys are instructed to bring their lunch because they may be working in an area not close to any eateries. Now if I could just keep them out of the 7-11's in the am on the way to the jobs!

Latly I've been either done for the day by lunch time or just starting at lunch time so I eat at home (down from 4 days to 1 full day a week with the drought will be doing fall leaf cleanups in 2 weeks if it keeps up trees are dropping allready). Normally I either bring a sandwich or, Stop by a local hot dog stand set up at a gas station (roach coach trailer) where I know the guy and get free food and know people. Actuall its at one of the best intersections and tons of people are there. Or I go to a Pizza place where all the other LCO's hang out and I can get in good with them. Most I pay is $5.00 for a full sub & drink.

like some of the others, i always skip breakfeast, and lunch. the result, bindge eating from 5 pm till midnight, that result=a big fat butt and love handles!i have noticed that the few times i did eat breakfast, and lunch, i didnt need to eat alot at night. since starting my weight loss program(about 5 hrs ago) i will be eating a light breakfast, and definitly find a tree to sit under and have a fruit and salad lunch, have to lose that extra 20(cough, cough) or so lbs. fast food is bad news!this is a physically demanding profession, and keeping yourself in shape is as important as keeping yur equipment in shape!

Depends on what the route is for the day. If I do lunch it's Subway. Sometimes I'll get a pizza, just depends on the day and the MOOD.

I'll either go to the deli or a pizziaria for lunch and breakfast is usually buttered toast or some cereal.
If I dont' eat breakfast I get moody and worse if I miss my midday feeding.. If it's past 2 and I havne't eaten stay away from me..... : )

Being from the south, I was one of those corn bread feed kids growing up, so I eat. Sometimes, it seems like I never get full even when temps hit 95+, so I keep plenty of snacks on hand.
I will eat a sandwhich for lunch and my snacks are the nutricious kind, just so you guys dont think that I cant fit the seat of my mower.

I try not to go more than 2hrs without eating from the time I get up 'til the time I go to bed. I'm 6' 1" and down to around 188lbs and don't want to be losing any more weight. I've got a fast metabolism and don't know how anyone could actually SKIP breakfast or lunch. I'd be in a coma for sure. My offseason weight is around 200lbs (+or-) and it takes several weeks to gain back to that level.
Don't skip meals. If your not really hungry at least have a piece of fruit. You'll be sorry in the long run if you don't. I also stay away from fast food (or anything hot for that matter) on hot days. Not good for the digestive system. Carbonated drinks are bad too. Gatorade and water, and fruit drinks are all I'll drink.

I always stop somewhere in the morning for something to eat, if I don't eat in the morning I can't even work. For lunch we usually stop at a deli or something and if we're working in the town I live in we usually go to a pizza place who i do alot of work for the owner so he hooks us up. No fast food, I can't eat that crap unless I have a porta john built into the seat of the mower.
