HO wants a mesh net over his pond during fall leaf season.
Should I make an order for one which will cover the entire falls, 4 foot stream and 8*16 pond all in one ?
or \
have possibly 2 seporate ones like for the pond area and one for the falls and stream?
Seams one can go either way unless one is better then the other.
Im sort of guessing one entire large mesh cover
Also
Once leaf season ends and snow comes, I would think to remove the mesh cover? correct me If Im wrong,
thanks

With a build-up of leaves the netting could get heavy and be hard to remove if it gets wet. Maybe two pieces would be better for a large are. I made a frame that arches over my pond so the leaves fall to the sides and I just blow them away when cleaning the yard.
My pond is beside 3 oak trees and I get a lot of leaves in the Fall. There is also quite a bit throughout the winter so I leave it on till spring.

If they have a lot of leaves I highly recommend getting one for them, They will need to empty it every 2 -3 days before it gets super heavy, but it does keep the skimmer filer from clogging up. IMHO.

When we were seeding greens we used a woven fabric to cover them in the winter, this protected the new turf from frost and ice damage.
Woven fabric has elastic properties. The fabric was streched tight and held in the soil by 4" staples along the parimiter. This creates an effect like a trapoline and allows leaves to blow off the surface, since the fabric is woven water can easily penetrate.
you would use the same method outlined above, substitute pond for green. I will see if I can come up with a link for the fabric.
Good Luck,

Update of neglected pond
Sad to say I drove by this one HO that has this luxurious aqua-scape pond/stream/waterfalls that I refurbished back in Aug 2001.
I serviced/maintained the ponds for 3 weeks along with his property until he stopped my services real rudely.
Anyway the pond is full of leaves, the skimmer is clogged, the waterfall just has a dribble, the 10 koi fish I feel for right now more then the HO. Its horrible looking
What a cheap Ba****d he turned out to be.
Im glad I took pictures of my work there of the pond,
I should sneek up to it and take a picture now... lol yuck
