How aggressive are you fellow landscapers ensuring wave petuias get off to the right start? Water management of course is critical, I understand pinching back and deadheading, fertilizing are all key too. Spraying with orthenex - optional every two weeks. Anything else?

To those of you whose wave petunia plantings have failed in the past... what did you attribute the failure to at that time?

I have used them a few times in the past, begonias do a little better here. They are a little maintenance to keep up which costs more than just replacing a "sick" one or two. I find they tend to act more like an impatien when exsposed to full sun...Plenty of water and a little shade seem to work well though. I dont normally do too much maintenance on my annuals. I average about 1200 annuals per season, so I would rather replace 20 than spend an hour at each property trying deadhead...Good luck..
