Can someone tell me what kind of tree this is... the middle of this flower turns into a "berry-like" fruit mid-summer. Please help!

It's a dogwood.

Specifically, a Kousa Dogwood.

Yep- it's a dogwood, you can tell by its bark! (well somebody had to say it!)
