After busting you a$$ to make a good living what have you rewarded your self with. Well, I just reward myself with a new Honda WB but I rewarded my wife with the attached. The best part was that it was cash purchase.

Yes, cash. It was very hard to write that check, especially when I know I will never get to drive it. This part-time thing has really helped a lot.
I started this business last year to pay off all my debt (20k+). Last year on New Years Eve I became debt free (except for the house, only 79k left). I promised myself that I would neve ever borrow money again. WE got on a written monthly budget and the car is the results of smart money management. Along with maxed IRA's and ROTH's. Now its time for getting that house paid off. I drive a 88 Ford Ranger X-cab, its ok, but in 2 or 3 years I will get my reward.

Looks sweet! Lucky wife!!
Now you better start saving up for that 2004 F-350 before your wife's SUV has to pull your trailer around for you!
:)
Your right though, it feels good to not owe much or none. Its simple to make a good budget and you'd be amazed how fast the money really does add up, once you get used to it not being there. Every year I get a raise and I take half of it and put it straight into my mutual funds every month (on top of the normal lump sum deposit monthly). I figured I was living before without it, so why not pretend I only got half of it in the first place.
Its what worked for me.

My debt stopper was to stop using the credit cards, send as much each month as i could, then switch every 6 months or so to those 0 percent intro once the interest is low or nothing balance drops quick, just started paying down principle on house w/ extra money from smaller ccard payments

I always pay the balance on my credit cars every month. Though that 25 dollar minimum payment looks tempting i know It gets out of control fast if you do so. I always follow this rule.... If I dont have the money already for the product i want i dont buy it..... I only use credit cards so I have good credit and because i dont keep much cash on me.

funny this thread came up. HOPEFULLY on Fri I will be taking delivery of our 2002 Explorer (the wifes new car). Of course this will be a business truck:D
Really though I have a set of magnetic signs so I may throw them on to give bids and such. (manly so I can drive it)
I will post a pic here if we get it soon. of course we picked the options that are hard to find.
I also bought me and my son dirt bikes this summer and built a small moto cross track.

Im a cash man myself, when i first started i took
$1400 graduation money and bought a used 52
snapper wb and i am still using it along with all my new ones and never had to take a loan out.
My theory, if you have the cash, buy it, if you dont have
the cash, you better wait and save

After 21 years of marriage my wife finally got her something nice. 2 weeks ago I went to the Mitsubishi place and she picked out a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero Sport. Solid black, leather,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,loaded. She's happy, I'm happy, the kids are happy..............................it's only money right? No, I didn't pay cash for it.
My wife is happy................that's enough for me.

Mike, I'm a systems analyst by day and lawnboy in the afternoon.
casey, I got the Honda because of the price($2850 w/sulky for the 36'), gear drive, and the history of Honda quality. This is the 1st WB I have ever owned but I demoed a few. They are all hard to steer but I'm getting use to it. It's still better than my old POS snapper rider.

Not bad dude
I've made the mistake of paying cash for things I could have bought at very low intrest rates. On new cars and truck they have a lot of 0.9% out there. I'm looking at a new Ford F350 srw crew cab short bed 4X4 diesel $37,000

Well, speaking of new toys, I ordered my wife a new Supercrew F-150. Supposed to be here Monday. Kinda strange though, I do the work and she gets the reward. She's happy and I'm happy for her. No, I didn't pay cash, but I am getting 0.9 %.

Hello Everybody:
I's been so busy lately haven't had much time to post here. I'm trying to keep up with Post. Between the Rain & Web Site Obligations, I've been so busy.
BTW, I Thank God for all the Rain I've had in my Area & I mean a Big Thank you from the Bottom of my Heart. I've had almost 3 hard years of Drought, now I'm getting caught up & the Family sees it. They have been good to me & it's my time to pay them back! :)
Now about Inifinitys. I had a chance to buy one about 3 years ago, Excellent shape except Front Bucket seats. Yes, it was a 91 with 124,000 miles on it & I got it for $5,500 yep 3 years ago. Guess what I don't have to add a drop of oil between 2,500 mile oil changes. The car was I think a little ahead of it's time!
This Q45 is like a Oversize Ferrari or how ever you spell that. It's our in town car LOL. You can get in & out of Traffic very Very QUICK!
No dealers around me, nearest is 100 miles away, so I do all work on it. It is a hard car to work on but a Dream to Drive. If I fix the Seats, I can still get what I paid for it or Mighty Close. I told the wife we would fix Seats soon. Then place a high figure on it. If we sell OK & not OK. I love the car! :)
If I ever run across a Chance to take it to Dealership, I will seriously consider getting one a few years newer, but I want the same body style. I think body style changed in 93 or 94, but I would like another one. It was a wise Investment!
I try to Keep one Newer Vehicle, yep a Mini Van, Yep I'm Married man! 3 Drivers in Family & Keep 4 Vehicles. Most are older, I'm to Cheap to keep Newer ones. I put every dime I can in My Home & Business Real Estate. What I like about that is, they only gain in value. Both be paid for in less than 6 years, even if most things go wrong & they surely have with all the Drought. I can't wait to Pay off Notes! Then I gets more Vehicles & other Mumbo Jumbo. :)
