OK, I am a homeowner considering a commercial walk behind. Probably a 48 or so. I have a question about the way the controls work. I am looking at Scag SWZ, Exmark, and Quick 44 and possibly others. I understand how the Quick 44 operates. I am confused about the operation of the others though. Do you change the ground speed with a lever to get started? Then once the ground speed is set, what do you do to make it actually start moving? I understand that you steer by braking or slowing one side so that it steers in that direction. So do you have to squeeze the levers to make it go forward and then let off on one side to make it go in that direction or is it just moving straight and you squeeze on the side you want it to steer to? What about the others such as the EverRide, Husqvarna, or Wright that have the bars? Any help in explaining this would be very much appreciated. I don't have any dealers anywhere near me so I can't just go look. Thanks!!
