View Full Version : weed control and dogwood

We had Weedman spray our lawn for weed control and the day after, our 2
newly planted varigated dogwoods and a pagoda dogwood (planted last
year) had their leaves wilted. They looked great and healthy prior to =
the visit by weedman.
Could this product have hurt our plants?

it is possible that some of the spray drift hit the leaves of your plant and affected it.. however, you say they are newly planted, so they could be wilting due to not enough water, and the stress of being planted. Also, it seems a little fast for them to be wilting the day after an application. Not even the weeds are affected until three to four days after application in my area. How close are these plants to the lawn?

Some where newly planted and one was planted last year.
They were just watered the day before and I watered them again thinking that was the cause. The dogwoods are about 10 inches from the lawn.

then, most likely, they sprayed your plants.. give them a call to see what they can do (if anything)
