Not like the pictures

I just bought the striper for my hustler mini z, the stripes are not nearly defined like the pics I see posted. I have it adjusted all the way down. Am I expecting to much, or doing something wrong?

mow the same pattern each time and the stripes will get better and better each mowing. careful not to rut the turf though.

allot of it depends on the turf. Well maintained fertilized turf will stripe better. The type of grass plays a roll as well as the height at which it's cut. Your best bet is to experiment a bit with height of the roller and height of cut.

Mine is a rubber flap. I started with it a .25 off the ground then I put it clear to the ground, it got a little better. I think my grass is not really good enough to stripe.
