Im in North Alabama and Sims Bark Company which has sevral manufaturers in the Southeast is out of mulch for the next month.
It going to hurt our buisness big time. We have jobs booked for the next 4 weeks all needing mulch. We are turning down all customers that just want a yard or two of mulch.

Is anyone else having this problem. And the drought is also killing us.

I always turn away people wanting a yard or two of mulch unless they want to pay 400+ for it.

We don't do alot of mulch but wouldn't you be better to do the smaller jobs? Isn't there more money in the small jobs? Big jobs take big amounts of mulch and not as much time, smaller jobs take less mulch and more time. You are billing for time. Sounds to me like you have more time than you do mulch so spend the time doing the small jobs to end up making more money?

Maybe you could switch to pine straw for those smaller jobs .

Ive never heard of an area running out of mulch. Why don't you go buy yourself a mulch making machine and make yourself a small fortune.
