View Full Version : blackhawk lawn mower
My 21" blackhawk lawn mower just broke down and I'm in search for parts. I have looked in to my owner's manual and found phone numbers which have been disconnected. Can anyone tell me if this company is still in business and if so, how I might contact them for repair parts.

I've never heard of blackhawk before,
What type of engine does it have?(briggs&stratton, tecumseh, etc.)
:blob1: the BlackHawk has a briggs&straton 5 HP motor.

you'll need the model number though
I appreciate your follow up but perhaps I should have been more clear on my need. The motor is working quite well, I'm needing some of the other pieces parts more specific to the "Blackhawk" product line.

Broken handle brackets down near the deck. I've seen some close matches but they wouldn't fit quite right. The old ones appear to have been made of a "pot" metal which was clearly the weakest link in this product.
Does your mower have a silver id tag on the deck somewhere?
If so, what does it say? I mean everything.
Do you know of any individual or shop that does welding/fabricating? Can't say for sure without seeing them, but it may be possible to replace the "pot" metal brackets with something made out of "real" metal.
Keep in mind of course, you have to compare the cost of doing that against the cost of a replacement mower. Sometimes it's more expensive to fix than replace!

The Blackhawk is a snapper (cast aluminum deck). Any snapper dealer will be able to help you get those brackets. I think they are around 10 bucks. If you have trouble let me know.:blob2:

SJL- I had a blackhawk mower that I got used. It worked great and I loved it. Unfortunatly, it was stolen when my grage was broken into, and am looking for information on what exactly it was. All that I know is that it said blackhawk, and had a briggs and stratton motor, and it was self propelled. You said that you had a manual for yours, so I was wondering if you knew anything more? ( When did you buy yours, where, how much did it cost, what was the model number ect)
