u know the storie on this craftman 19hp b&s m#42a707 type 1251.........
cleaned carb....rebuilt fuel pump...fixed trans axle.....everything was great...strated and ran good...shifted like brand new...etc.....yesterday i went to start it and it started and die a few seconds later....found that the float had a pin hole in it...put a new one in ...started and then died....come to find out i NOW have no fire.....held sparkplug wire to plug...nothing....changed plugs , put new ones in.......still nothing.....any ideals ??

Disconnect the black kill lead wire from the engine to the tractor wire harness and check for spark again. This will eliminate all the safety switches etc, If you now have spark then it's time to start checking switches to find the bad one.

If you still have no spark with the kill wire disconnected then the coil (Armature-Magneto) took a dump and needs replacing.
