I have a 36" Hydro. I have been having problems keeping straight lines. My stripes start off straight but gradually curl and its very frustrating. The mower is brand new. Do the pumps need to be adjusted ?

Try to look when your mowing if you are mowing straight because sometime the hydros need to be adjusted when there new. I hope this helps and good luck

yes i had this problem the first time i mowed. for my ztr you had to adjust the "tracking" it kept drifting to the left, im not sure about a walkbehind though, ask your dealer.

find a straight area and look at it. dont look away until you get there. feel your machine out and it will come to you. PROMISE!

Dont' stare at the wheel when you stripe..look about 10-20 ft ahead of it.

Just like driving a car...Do you stare at the hood ornament?

I try and pick out a point at the end of the yard like a tree, stump, branch, whatever and make sure I don't veer off track from it. like everyone said, keep you eyes ahead of your line and you should get the hang of it.

Dito! I have a fence at the end of my row, so I FOCUS on a link of the fence and lines stay pretty straight. You will get off if you look at the wheels. After a few times you don't have to focus so hard.

Yep, for that first stripe, I stare at an object as far away as I can and keep focused on it, not even looking at the ground or the mower.

Comes out straight as a string every time. After that I just follow the cut line and the rest of them come out straight.

Also, if you're mowing something with a curb or sidewalk, you can follow that for your first pass, keeping the mower along the curb or sidewalk and end up with a straight first pass.

Lawnboy, I like your setup. Looks nice! You're really packing it on that trailer:)

I think my problem is that I do look at the front wheels instead of straight ahead. Ill have to try it next time.
