Price to mow 8 acres?
I came in at an estimate of 400.
What do you think?

The way I do it is: Know how many acres you can do in an hr on average depending on conditions, for me 2 acres an hr. Then I decide how much I want per hr. Others just have a flat fee per acre.

mowing and no trimming no blow. 50 per acre seems right to me. If they don't bite on that, see ya later alligator.

For me I would charge $240 for it but that is for me in my area.

I had a guy with a 6 acre front yard and he wantd a price to mow, he said if I did it for $300 he'd be getting a deal. I think he's paying about $400 right now.-no trimming or blowing. so for 8 acres, $400-450 NO TRIMMING

because we haven't seen the property. never bid a job sight unseen.

around here, $400 bucks would be good if it's flat, wide open bluegrass mix with minimal trimming. of course that's not taking into account us dollars converting to canadian dollars.

Well. The canadian dollar IS at 95 cents on your dollar now, so thats not too much. *laughs* I'm gonna buy my new truck in the states now.

$350...with NO trimming and all flat areas. Now lets say theres trimming around a building/buildings involved and about 50 trees, parking lot etc, $400ish

whatever you want to get for 2 hours of your time IMO...if you can get 200 bucks an hour, go for it.

How would we know what is a good price? We havent seen it, have no clue how much trimming or edging there is. And honestly, we haven't even got a good description of it to go by. Prices vary so much from different areas it is impossible for anyone to give you an accurate price.

8.6 acres
$187.94 GST included

On our 5th year and still making money at it

Now that is a old rural school no curbs, one page wire fence at back separating it from the corn field and a few trees to trim around.

If that was a condo of 8 acres it might take 2 crews a full day to cut.

Can we have a better description of the property?

8 acres in 2 hours? I love my ferris mowers as much as you Rodfather but isn't that a little bit of an under estimation?

I guess it all depends on how fast he wants to work.
