Anybody got suggestions for a ztr that wont hit me in the knees at full speed. I have demoed many so far. What do you long legged people like to use?

I'm not 6'4" but I am 6'0" and I run a cub cadet tank. I have to run it with the seat all the up and wish I could get the seat up even further. I would think for someone taller running with the seat all the back would give them plenty of room. Good luck.

I am also tall and I found that any of the mid size machines is going to be tight for someone that is your height. If you are looking for something that has a 52-72 inch deck then you can step into the full size machines such as the IS3000 from ferris, a Scag Turf Tiger or The Lazer from Exmark and numerous others that I am sure people will recomend. If you go to a dealer with a good amount of inventory you can definatly see what I am saying. The mid and smaller sized machines due to there compact size are going to be tight.

Im 6'3" and the guy I work for runs a Gravely 34Z, its a 34" and it fits me fine. He also has 2 Hustlers, a 60" and a 52" and those both fit me fine

You might be able to take the handles and cut them and have a welding shop weld in a section of metal stock to raise the bars a few more inches...

Might be the easiest fix.

I know some are adjustable, but only about an inch or so...

Hustler sells extensions which help quite a bit.

Why dont you try a stander? As long as you watch out for tree limbs, and low flying airplanes you should be good to go.

If you have a Bad Boy dealer around you try one... I demo'd one with the handles in the high position and to me it was like "ape hangers" on a motorcycle (I'm 5' 9").

A lot of leg room on the new scag machines. Foot lift and bars are adjustable too.

I have the Wildcat and I'm 6'4" 215 and I like the way I fit on it. I also have A Turf tiger and its a bigger machine and I fit better but I like the wildcat in regular residential yards. My Wildcat is on here for sale check it out!

I just was checking out the grasshopper site looking at the 322D and noticed it had optional extended handles.

Only thing I dont like about this setup is the fear of falling forward into the handles and hurting my junk.

Try a Country Clipper, they use a joystick. No levers to hit your legs.

Both the scag and the lazer that I had have multiple sets of mount holes to move the levers way up. I am only 6-2 but I had plenty of room on both.

6' 3" and fit just right on my walkers. They are low to the ground so I can get under trees better too.

Country Clipper. No experience with them but saw an ad that featured a mower that the controls would not get in the way.

Same here!!!!

The Cub/Lesco ZTR's have too much leg room to suit me.

I like being able to "wedge" myself in the seat with my legs.
But your feet have to reach the foot wedge to make that possible...

I'm 6'6" and use a Country Clipper Charger. Still could use a little more leg room lengthwise. Many times I ride with my feet resting on the articulating front beam. Great cut and really sticks the slopes.

I demoed JD's and could not fit my knees under the sticks anywhere past half throttle.

I'm 6'1" and have a Scag Wildcat. Bars on it are adjustable up and down a bit and have a toothed ratchet lookiing clamp so you can adjust angle to get the horizontal portion of control bars more to front or back as you like. Seat also has good adjustment front to back, giving excellent legroom.

My son is 6'6" and does good on my Ferris 2000Z and the bars will adjust out more if it was needed.

6' 5" here.

Just got a Scag Tiger Cub with the adjustable bars. Bars are in the highest position and it is perfect there.

Leg room is OK with the seat all the way back, but if I could have a little more I'd take it.

If you're tall the adjustable bars make a world of difference.

I'm 6'5" and run scag turf tigers, plenty of room, can sit back and kick the feet out and still be on the platform. I have run a kubota (0 turn) and I had to sit straight up and it still was hitting my knees.

I'm 6'1", and have the controls on my Gravely set on the middle hole. I'd have plenty of room with them on the lowest, though. Plus, there is LOTS of room to stretch your legs. Fully extended, my feet aren't anywhere near the end of the ramp over the deck. You ought to check one out.
