Well I finally got a cover-up for my dingo. I have to say I am not extremely impressed. My dingo tx425 undercarriage smooths the trench line. I tried using it backwards and reversing flow, but that doesn't work. I guess I don't really have enough ground clearance. Do you guys use it on existing lawns? It seems like you have to take caution not get to deep into the grass. It should save some time on new construction.

I have the walkbehind.
It has the compaction wheel with it.
I have never had a problem with it.
It helps leveling the soil with the cover up because 95%
of the dirt has no where to go except back in the trench.

The walkbehind cover-up works better than attachment type.

I have the attachment type for my boxer. LOVE IT. It takes a few times to run it to get the hang of it. So it does not dig into the ground.
The boxer has plenty of ground clearance so I dont have the problem with the bottom scraping the trench.

If you have the one made by Toro (it's Red) it doesn't work very well in turf. The black ones made by McCullough work very well either in turf or new construction, this is probally the one the Boxer has on it

Can anyone vouch for this thing beside this big ol' texan here?
Ive seen one or two of these things running around my area, but can ever find a time to actually talk to an actual owner of one of these units.
Ive got the toro dingo coverup, bought it in 05, & i might have used it on 4 jobs since then. Needless to say its got a heavy pile of dust on it sitting at my shop. Its too wide and doesnt do a great job

Ive got the toro cover up for my dingo setup,
Just not impressed with it for small yard situations.
The dingo cover up is basically the same as the mccullough for the mini skid
but it honestly creates more work sometimes in tight quarters.
Dont get me wrong, im saying the dingo coverup ive got is great for long straight runs. But short, 20- 30' ditches, its a pain in the butt.
I am mainly asking for opinions on the mcullough small walkbehind unit.
