Placing Bids

Hey to all you pros, how would a new company go about getting recognized (or invited) to place bids all over at different commercial accounts and subdivisions? I really could use some advice. Also, how do I go about getting insured? I'm 17, am I able to? And how bout a business license? At my city hall? Anything else I would need? I have a relatively small business, but would like to do this full time in a few years.

first thing is too get your license at local city or county office,
ins. contact a ins. agent and ask about bus. liability
as far as comm. acct. imo, you may need to get more
seasoned in the bus. from all aspects of being in bus.
most newbie's go w/ the sole pro. way when starting out
if you find u r starting to make some significant $ you should consider getting a llc
