Most of you already know this, but I want to make this statement because I can't stress enough to other beginners why NOT to use a ZTR on steep slopes, around ponds, creeks, etc. - especially without the ROPS. A month ago, I turned down a commercial job because of all the steep slopes leading down into the 3 different large ponds. And boy, am I ever glad I did. Now I can take on that job with a WB and trimmers, but last week I was doing a friends yard with my ZTR going across a steep ditch with no water, just to test the Z, and my Z started sliding. I pulled out correct, but sometimes people get unlucky and get killed doing this. Just read some other threads in the Commercial section and you will see that you should NOT take any chances with a ZTR. If it looks intimidating, just come back later with a trimmer or WB and save your life!

I agree, lots of posts in commercial forum about injures (most fatal) with ztr mowers.
