adding apps

i was wanting to add fert and squirt to my services but i am not real experienced in it. i have basic knowlegde but always want to know more. do you have any advice of where i can learn more about all the identifications and proper application, i really dont think many companies around here are going to want to help someone out who is going to be competition.
