Does anyone know of a product available the I can use as a shield so I don't ruin the siding. The repairs are killing my budget.

you just gotta go slow and steady... only put the very tip of the line nearest the house, also maybe try putting the trimmer at an angle so that the line hits the part of the foundation nearest the ground vs right at the siding...

I would rather leave a few blades of grass than put holes in the siding. Slow down a bit. It is better to take a little extra time than to be makin repairs.

Tilt the trimmer up like you are edging....get the darn guard off so you can see exactly what you are doing. Use a little bit of round up about 2" wide to get it away a little.

Yep, angle the trimmer to avoid the siding.
If you're wrecking THAT much siding, you should probably practice some more, like on your own house or something:)

walk forward full throttle till you get to the end or corner of trailer cutting the bulk of grass. then you can walk backward just touching the throttle and because of the head of the trimmers rotation it will pull every blade of grass INTO the center of the cutting fan of the trimmer and it will cut all of the grass just with a steady LIGHT squeeze of the throttle. you can do it even on rotten siding:D

Upside down trim along that wall and make sure your hitting below the siding. Works great.

Just slow down a little. And maybe try to slow down the trimmer speed just a little. Take your time and you'll be fine.
