US Cellular w/ Push To Talk. The push to talk works on their network, and the phone part works on virtually everyones network.

I use a BlackBerry Pearl on a T-Mobile Family Plan. This way I get email and calls while in the field.

I have Nextel with an unlimited minutes plan for 99.00 a month. They dont have that plan anymore. I use nextel because Motorola makes the rugged contractors phones(rubber etc.).

I had a treo; great phone if you don't mind keying everything on such a small keypad. Getting used to dialing phone numbers on it was tricky, but i had mine for 2 years. I had to replace it 3 times though. They don't handle drops at all. I switched to the Sprint Upstage and it works MUCH better for calling, but HORRIBLE for appointments/scheduling.

What about getting a palm to leave in the truck for scheduling? And a regular cell phone for calling?
