Flat/Dump on Short Bed

I've currently got a 02 Chev 2500HD ext cab short bed.
I'd really like to get a dump bed at some point or at least a flat bed. I think it would really increase productivity/efficency.

I'm wondering if I should be looking for a different rig or could put one on this truck. I'm worried that it would look hideous. Just wondering if anyone has done this.
