What do you guys think about the Wacker WP1550A for starting out in hardscaping? I may have a chance to pick up a brand new one for half price.

Good compactor, but even if it was not, buy it and sell it for full price!!!

The guy replied and he has 2 of them. Brand new in plastic, supposedly for a failed attempt at starting a contruction company. I think the ad said they paid around $2k a piece. Sound right? Since I'm not doing any hardscaping yet and don't really need one right now I was thinking about throwing out a low number like $900 for one. What do you guys think?

The woman continued to email me even though I haven't further contacted her, so she seemed pretty desperate. She sent me an email saying that she wanted an offer today. I wrote back $1400 for both if I pick up in Orlando or $1500 if you deliver to Gainesville. She's says they'll deliver and I talked to the husband who is supposed to call me when he's close. We'll see...

I see a lot of the excavating companies around here running wackers. They seem to have a good track record, and that seems like a very good price.

The guy dropped them off this morning. Brand new, in plastic, don't even have oil in them. And one came with an accessory water tank.:cool2:
