Need help with purchase decision on 36wb

Ok, I'm about to purchase either the new Scag 36 for $3250 ( w/sulky)
or this 2000 model Toro proline 36 for $850. Can u vets take a look at the pic/s of this Toro and tell me if it' looks in good shape or has too much wear?
It'll cost me $30 in gas just to go check it out and I'm on a tight budjet now so please help.
