Spark plug heat range with Amsoil?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has had to drop to a lower heat range on their spark plugs when using Amsoil 100:1 pre-mix? It appears to me that if a manufacturer recommends a certain number plug, let's say Stihl recommends Bosch WSR6F or NGKBPMR7A for use in their blowers and chain saws, to be used with 50:1 mix, now when you lean this mixture out with the Amsoil,seems to me that you are making a more hotter flame, therefore should a lower heat range plug be used to deal with the more heat produced? I'm no mechanic, just curious:) Thanks,Huck:D

Synthetic oil lubricates better than petroleum oil and your engine should actually run cooler. I would see no need to change the heat range of your spark plug.:) ;) :) ED

You're actually making the mixture richer, not leaner. When you take oil out of the mix you are putting more fuel in. The change is so small though that it's not going to make any difference.
