I am looking at two different trailers right now. One is a 2004 6.5 X 12 foot with gate and wood sides and wood floor, the other is an older dump 5 X 8 bed utility trailer, this also has smaller wood sides, a winch, new leaf springs, and lights. The bigger one is $800 and the smaller one is $200. I am trying to get equipment together to start mowiing residiential homes next spring part-time with my brother. I am looking at getting a 36" walk behind or a 48" walk behind with a push mower for tighter spaces. I would also be carrying a blower, edger, and trimmer. I figure some of the stuff can go into the bed of the truck.

right now money is a bit of an issue, I have enough to buy either one, but would like to try and keep my costs as low as possible. I am just wondering if everybody thinks I need the larger one or if the smaller one is fine too.

If money is an issue buy the $200 trailer.

I would wait and buy your trailer last. If you don't have any equipment yet, how do you know what size trailer you will need? You have 9 months to find a trailer. Look on ebay and Craig's List. You should be able to find a pretty good deal, but you will have to be patient! I would stay away from the $200 trailer from your pics! It's great that you are starting early. Don't panic for at least another 6 months!!!! Good luck!

You can always sell the small trailer; probably for what you paid for it.

thanks to everybody for their opinions, I know that I have some time for the next season to start and everything. I have some options and am currently trying to get the price down a bit more to make it a better investent. Thanks
