$520 for gen liability $1 mil and $2500 of my equiptment while its in my garage just so im not totally screwed if its stolen. was only like $20 a year for the second part.
i would have went with 500k or something, but was told im in a "minimum premium bracket" so it would be the same price.

300 a year this year for 2mil in general liability... 200 in equip insurance then truck runs me about 900 a year full coverage. No employees this year to carry work comp for. Thats generally the expensive one.

Obviously you do not have 6 trucks out at one time or your workers comp alone would eat up alot of that 8K. I am paying about 30 with 9 trucks on for winter and 8 trucks on all year(9 for snow plowing). Trucks are insured for 1M, 50K in equipment and four trailers. 2 mil G/L and 1 mil umbrella. payroll-200+.

I was wondering where you got the 6 trucks from but now I see. I only have the 03' F350 and 97' SD Registered to the company with Full coverage. The other trucks are My Brothers and my Personal vehicles that are used for snow only. Otherwise the Insurance would be about $2K more, and the 89' dump is sold. But looking at my new policy without the dump I'm really only paying $6800 For 2 Truck, 2 Trailers Full Coverage. 1mill. GL $1mill Agg. $50K Equipment (theft Ect.) And Snow Coverage

Wow,
I'm impressed. Everyone of you is paying much less than I am. May be a function of me living in sue happy New York State.
My general liability insurance is approx $3500 per yer for 1 million. (I was audited for my 04 and my 05 policies.....my payroll was higher than estimated...I was dinged for an extra $4200 for 2 those two years.)
My vehicle insurance is through state farm...approx $2500 for everything (3 trucks, 4 trailers).
My unemployment, disability, workers comp is offered through my payroll company on a pay as you go basis, so there will be no Payroll Audit surprises there. It's all very high if you total it up.....$10K or so.
Insurance is a necessary evil...I am definitely insurance poor....over $16k total a year. Oh yeah...did I mention I no longer plow!
