Ok so last year I bit the bullet and purchased 2 Honda Commercial 21in mowers the HRC216HXA they were expensive they have the blade clutch and everything. So this year we are mowing and one of my guys runs over a 2in pipe in the ground, bends the hell out of the blades and unfortunely ruins the crank as well. It is bent. The mower will still start and makes this god aweful noise until you engage the blades but it cuts like crap right now. Anyone know where I can buy a new crank? Do I have to buy it from the dealer because its freakin 225 bucks! Can you take these someplace and have them straightened. Has anyone ever done one these before because this looks like a hard repair. THANKS!

They actually have a way to straighten the crank. Some dealers might do it. My dad owns a crank straightner but ive never seen him use it so i cant say how easy it is.

Most shops will not straighten cranks any longer due to the risk of breakage causing bodily injury and law suites.

Best swallow the cost and replace the crank.
