I saw a mulching plate that was opened/closed from the seat of the ZTR with a handle and rod. I would like to know who makes it and if there was a website to view them.

I've built my own and I have used others. I bought one from power chute design last week and so far I'm impressed. The Power Chute is built for your machine not a universal fit like most others. The are also a sponsor. http://www.powerchutedesign.com/

I have a 50" 07 Lazer HP and I purchased a exmark accessory the discharge plate. It comes with a foot pedal to open and close the discharge opening. It works good, but the plate itself is made of thick plastic and tends to bend down a little. The plate is not letting the clippings discharge as evenly. I have thought of replacing the plate with steel, but I haven't decided.

I just bought a powerchute because I liked the pedal idea. I am still wondering if I should have bought hte York Director at yorksheetmetal.com. It looks like the nicest one out there to me.
