Lynch Landscaping,
There will not be a stander unit in the Exmark lineup next season. As for the future, do you think we should design a stand-on unit?

I think it would probably outsell the wright stander. I believe this because of the EXMARK name, quality and dependability. If you do design one I can guarantee atleast one customer. Wild Bill

If you do make a stand up unit make sure you make a 36in model. I think it would be a great idea. The current manuf. are ok with status quo. I know Exmark can make the overall design better and the quality of cut better. Just look at Wrights web site it. Its very poor for a large mower company.

So you would rather have a good website then a good mower? Interesting. The Wright website is a bit lacking, but I wouldn't say anything too great about the Exmark site. Can you go on the Exmark site and order machines at discount rates right there online?

Pugs thanks for your passion but you would be a fool to buy Wrights equipment at that price, but just maybe you are? I can really see that feature gets you really excited. Even that feature is a basic feature. They dont even list all of their product on their Website, lol. for a large manufacturer I find that to be very poor service. And if you going to quote me, quote everything I said. I own one of their mowers and they do need to make several improvements, period. I have a list of features that they can improve on including their website. Oh, by the way, do you own any of Wrights product? Dont lie either.

DO IT! i was planning on buying a stander this year, but if plans are going to be put in action for an eXmark stand on unit, then I will wait for that, even if it takes awhile....i'll just get another eXmark WB for now!

Well if you can find them cheaper than that, I would like to know where. You are better off buying at their November/December prices than you are buying on their Fleet program.
No I do not own any mowers. I sell and service mowers. I believe I did say their website is lacking did I not?
And how does your list of features they need to improve on their mowers have anything to do with a website? That is not a feature of the mower. What in the world did you do before the internet existed? Probably complained about the literature at the dealership.
Standers are just not a big enough market for anyone else to try to build anything to compete with Wright or the Everride/GreatDane/Gravely/John Deere machines. At least not now anyway.

I sure Exmark could make a better stander, Ive been looking at standers for along time too. When the patent's run out I think Maybe you'll see more Companys make them to. I'd Like to see someone else get into this Market. Ivee talked to hustlers reps and was told they have no interest in this market at all.

Not really. the market is small compared to walks and sit down riders. its the patent"over the rear wheels" that keeps them from not doing it.

i started selling the gravely pro stance this year because exmark doesn't offer a stander and i need to cover that corner.
The problem is with hydros creeping up there in price, guy would buy a stander and call it a day.
4600 plus 380 for a 48 viking with a stand on, that's at only 15hp.
That's 5k.
A 19hp 52 Gravely stand on is just a few hundred more than that.
I say if Exmark has a prototype out there, i would like to see it or see pictures of it.

I think if Exmark made a stand-up mower that had the articulating deck of the Navigator, they would make a fortune and here's why: First, no such hybrid mower exists. Second, an operator would be able to get the world-class cut of the Navigator with the visibility and compact size of a stand-up machine. Lastly, this whole package would cost significantly less than a Navigator. The only downside would really be limited collection capability. What do you think, Exmark? Don't be shy.

Listen if you have ever ran a Stand up machine the mobility, footprint size, visibility is priceless on residential and commercial properties. I think the original manufacture of these units are holding back the technology. The price on the new units are just insane 6500 for a 36inch mower. They are good but they aren't that good. Its obvious that their several improvements that can be made to enhance the overall design.

I agrre John, for one there to darn Expensive. You can get a great used Z for the same price. I agree with CPEL'S comment there visibilty is great and the small footprint to get more mowers on the trailer, know doubt. but $6,000 for a 48 INCH stander. I do agree to that there's companys out there holding back on better technology for standers. Will see ! Hay John cold you see a 60 inch stander with the Ultra Cut. Holly Cow Batman !

Eh, I paid 5800 out the door for my 48" Turf Tracer HP with a sulky.
For nearly the same price, I would consider a stander. I am intrigued by the Wright units but there seems to be differing opinions on the quality of cut. I should really see if I can get my hands on a demo.
If Exmark offers one, and the cut quality is on par with the TriVantage/Ultracut deck, and the price isn't overly insane, I WILL buy one, no doubt about it.

we bought a great dane this year with a 52 and a 19 kawi on it out the door for $4738. we looked at the great danes the wrights and the gravelys. side by side and inch for inch the gravely and the great dane is the same machine. the wright is a good machine but we were not impressed with the positioning of the battery and quality of cut. as for the market i believe that in the next 3 years that you will see a dramatic increase in sales of stander machines and a remarkable drop in wb sales. the machines sidehill just fine. i can take ours on 30 to 40 deg hills and handle just fine with minimal slippage. they go faster than wb's and can fit more on a trailer than riders. i really don't see these machines going anywhere but up. our area has seen a tremendous growth in the market for these in the past year. if exmark had one out now we would have probably gone with it. exmark makes a great product and has a great rep. it would be foolish for exmark to not research this market.

they have looked into this before. Every two years on lawnsite this comes up. only cheaper ones are the fixed deck ones,i would need to adjust the deck quickly and that type does have its limits. Hills, turning and length.
in my area they dont work well because of low trees and hills to name a few. the longer you make the mower the easier it scalps and turf tares.
TNT i have asked them to make a 60" years ago. they said the market is to small and with the new ones out and having them being dumped for 5,000 it will make exmark not want one even more.
Keep trying you never know??
