John, Check out the Stihl line, They have been very good for our commercial users with little to no down time.

Your local Stihl Dealer can answer all your questions and recommend a unit to fit your needs.

I've been using a Husqvarna 165 BT for a number of years. It's a fabulous blower for heavy leaf clean-up. I highly recommend it.

For what it's worth, I'm sold on my Stihl. I love it. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. It has great power, and after owning a backpack blower I can't ever see going back to a handheld.

I upgraded from an older Stihl handheld to their new BR600 and find it to be amazing. I can do more cleaning up faster than ever. I'm sold on it, just wish I had done so a year or so ago. I'm like you a homeowner, but there is nothing to compare to good commercial grade equipment. Runs and performs better, last longer and gives fewer frustrations in the meantime!
